Intersurgical Auto-Fill Humidification Chamber is designed to be used with a humidifier base. These bases can often be found in the intensive care sections of hospitals.
The
chamber works by establishing a fixed level of fluid that it will
maintain throughout treatment. The chamber will then fill with water and
it causes the primary float to rise which in turn closes the primary
seal as it reaches the already established level. If for any reason the
seal is compromised, there is a secondary float that will rise and close
the secondary seal.
In addition to these dual seals, there is a yellow ring that will
float to help create a better visualization of the water level. It also
features a polycarbonate body.
